Enrichment Classes and Programs Offered by the PTA

The PTA supports after school and other enrichment programs for Ben Franklin.    If you would like to see something offered that is not listed below, contact Kathleen and Tamara for more information.  If you are interested in starting a class or program, the PTA can help. 

3rd and 4th Grade Math Clubs

The 3d and 4th grade Math Clubs are in full-swing and meeting weekly from 8-8:55 on Wednesday mornings.

Interested in a math club for 5th and 6th grade?  We are looking for parent volunteers to help with those.

Chess Classes

The Chess4Life program meets after school on Wednesdays.  Online registration is available.

Art Classes on Mondays
Rachel Mueller will be teaching a 10 week series of art classes, beginning March 24th.  The after school enrichment program will focus on the Renaissance.  If you are new to the program, Rachel's classes teach children techniques in painting and sculpture in the context of an art theme.

Jump Rope Classes

Classes sponsored by Hot Dog USA, a world-champion competitive jump rope team.  Classes start Thursday, April 17th and continue through May 29th (excluding May 22) from 3:30-5pm.  $48 covers all 6 classes and includes a jump rope.  Sign up here or contact Tamara.
