Time: 8 Tuesdays 3:40-4:40 Location: Commons Instructor: Missoula Children's Theater Class Dates: February 2nd - March 23d Cost: $150 For new students or students with previous experience. We bring electric piano keyboards to the school and those kids who enroll have the opportunity to learn to play their favorite tunes and melodies, from radio hits to movie and television theme songs. Using specially created visual tools and books, we teach the participants basic music reading skills and piano playing technique, so that they get playing the songs that they like right away. Our class ratio is generally never more than eight students per instructor (all of whom are background checked and are trained on school policies and procedures for maintaining the utmost safety of all students). The Piano Keyboard Club offers each child a well rounded approach to learning music in a social environment with other kids, and it allows for many benefits that private piano lessons does not; in particular - ensemble playing, or in other words, playing music together in groups. These are activities that kids love to get involved with, playing duets, trios or four and five part musical arrangements.
