Fun Time

It was great to see so many people turn out for our Family Bingo Night.  I love to see the smiles on the kiddos as they race to pick up their prize!  Hope you had as much fun as I did. 

School Tours

If you have new neighbors or new kindergarten children in your neighborhood, I have scheduled four school tour dates/times.  Please call Ann Coon to reserve a spot for a tour. 

Kindergarten Registration

It will be here before you know it, so your help getting the word out would be extremely helpful. 

The first day of registration will be Thursday, March 6^th from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Franklin Elementary. 

Quest Parent Program

There will be a series of “Guiding the Gifted Classes”, beginning Wednesday, January 30^th at the Resource Center.  There are two different classes: one geared for parents of highly capable children, ages 6-11 and the other for parents of adolescents, ages 12-18.  This is an eight-week series, led and facilitated by LWSD Quest Psychologist Sandy Malone-Long. The fee for the class is $150.  Please contact Joann Hall at (425) 882-1388 for more information. 

Absences

Please be sure to call Ann Coon or the school recorder to let us know if your child will be absent.  If you send an e-mail to the teacher about your child’s absence or late arrival, you may copy it to Ann at acoon@lwsd.org.  This is an important part of our Safe Arrival Program and your participation is most appreciated. 

P.E. News

Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart week will be February 4^th – 8^th.  Parent volunteers are needed after school on Wednesday February 6^th  from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. to help supervise a jump rope or basketball station.  Please contact Ms. Denney at ndenney@lwsd.org if you can help out.   Intramural basketball playoffs will be held next week for the 14 intermediate teams during recess time. 

New Date for 6^th Grade Parent Night

The date has been changed for the 6^th Grade Parent Night to Wednesday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Junior High.
