Jog-a-Thon: begins next week

It’s almost here!  On Friday,  October 5^th, your children will bring home their Jog-a-Thon envelopes.  Our jog-a-thon kicks off with an assembly starring our very own students and teachers! They will show the children how to collect money and why the jog-a-thon is so important to our school. The culmination is Wednesday, October 17th when our students take to the track for the Jog-a-Thon! 

Did you know that the PTA supports …

Enrichment programs such as: school assemblies, science programs, art docents, an artist in residence program, the Reflections program, the Science Fair , special family events, money for classroom supplies and field trips; money for enriching the school library and the teacher’s classroom libraries; Staff Appreciation Week; support for the staff sponsored programs such as student leadership, Kids First News, Sixth grade camp, Choir and Drama; school beautification projects and emergency preparedness; and the ever popular Friday Popcorn Days!!  This is just a sampling....

So when the Jog-a-Thon envelope arrives - please, collect those donations!!

Ask friends, family members and neighbors to support your child’s education by making a donation. You will be surprised at how much others care about the education of our children!  And don’t forget to ask about matching funds!  Just by submitting paperwork, many of us could get a matching donation from the corporation for which we work.  Ask your personnel department now for “Matching Funds” paperwork.  You’ll be all ready to double the value of your donation in this year’s Jog-a-Thon.  Remember too, these donations are tax deductible!

We’d love to see you at school on Wednesday, October 17.  We have lots of volunteer opportunities still available or just come and cheer your children on – it’s great fun for all!
